The fall weather has been gorgeous and I enjoy driving around and looking at all the trees. It also helps us keep up with our leaves that are falling... I do not like to do it when they are wet unless forced to.

Well I have been wanting to buy new furniture for our family room (where I spend most of my time) for quite some time. So we decided to go look at what they had at Lazy Boy which is one of my favorite places to shop for furniture. I was thinking about getting on with a chaise lounge but then decided that it would be nice to get one that recline. We found a set that we both loved, it looks great it is very soft and comfortable too. It will be a sofa and love seat in a nice camel color. The sofa will not be in until early November so we will have the deliver both at the same time. Can't wait.... Yea!!!

My hubby is having a great stretch so far without any seizures, what a blessing!!!

Well today I have some projects to get done inside.... the tub needs to be re caulked.... yuk!! Plus I really need to clean and organize my craft room that is also part storage for other things around the house.... oh my... maybe it is time to think about downsizing.

Have a wonderful day!!

I have let this blog go untouched for a year and I apologize. My life has taken some crazy turns and I ended up not making any cards at all.

I did decide to do some beading and made a lot of jewelry for a holiday bazaar that we just had. It was our first one and it did not produce many buyers but we will try to sell the rest via Ebay.

I find that I am slowing down more and not as interested in crafts. I do love to read, garden and watching tv.... oh dear... :-))

My husbands health has declined and I have spent more time keeping an eye on him.

I leave today with a picture of myself with my daughter from this past summer.

Until next time.

Where has the time gone

This year has gone by so fast and I can not believe that I have not posted a thing. I am so sorry to my readers.... that is if I have any left - lol

I had so many different goals this year and have been able to achieve some of them but now I am getting in the mood for the holidays and that means baking and making cards.

I am on a limited budget and so I tend to look for digital freebies to use in my card making and also to buy. They are so much cheaper and can be resized to fit your project... plus you can reverse them (mirror) as well. So many more possibilities this way. If you are looking for freebies... here is a great site that does nothing but provide just that..... http://www.freedigitalstamps.blogspot.com/

I will be back soon to show you what I have been up to.
Until then.... Hugs

A New Year

Wishing everyone a wonder new year.

I have so many plans for this next year and one of them is to get back into my crafting so you will be seeing some cards in the near future.

The other thing that I must do is challenge myself to improve my health... believe me, that will be a challenge. I need to find some way to get myself walking more or at least being more active - which means less time on the computer.

We have decided that it is time (actually way past due) for painting the family room and kitchen... that needs to be done before we have new flooring installed which is desperately needed. We have been procrastinating on this subject but now we are looking forward to the change.

Well off to get some housework done - believe it or not... I still have not taken down the Christmas decorations and today seems like a good day to do it... also I decided to redecorate in white with hints of blue for a winter theme until spring comes.

Merry Christmas

This is wishing you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS... filled with lots of love, fun and laughter.

We had a great time yesterday with family and friends. I roasted a turkey and was in charge of the veggies... I decided to try something new for both and they turned out great... everyone loved it.We had lots of good food, snacks, played games and of course opened our presents to each other.

Today, we head over to our daughters to spend the day with them and the little munchkins... it will be fun to watch them play and have fun... kids are always on an adrenaline 'high' on Christmas.

May God bless you with a glorious day and all through the next year.

Happy Monday

Hard to believe that it is almost Christmas... oh my, how time flies. I have been busy doing all the pre Christmas activities and enjoying it. Presents are all bought and wrapped, house decorated.

Now I am working on Christmas cookies. I have found some new ones that I am trying out, including sugar free ones for my hubby. Had to laugh, my first sugar free cookies turned out like hard hockey pucks but this last batch of a different cookie has turned out much better except that they want to crumble easily. I think it must have some to do with the sugar substitute for it is much dryer than usual sugars.

Hate to say that I did not make many of my Christmas cards this year. I just could not get my mojo going in time.  I do have plans for this next year and so I hope to be all ready much earlier.

Well, much to do but wanted to pop in to say 'Hi' to everyone. Hope you are all having a very merry Christmas holiday season so far.

Stay warm

Hope this finds everyone warm, happy and healthy.

Not sure about where you are but is starting to get much colder here.... not really ready for winter weather but it was bound to come our way. Of course we do not have it near as bad as others in the US.

Well I am excited for the weekend... this Sunday will be my dear husbands '65th' birthday... not that he wants to be reminded of that, LOL. We are going to my sisters for a little lunch and get together, should be fun. He is one of those people that when you ask him what he would like as a present... absolutely nothing comes to mind so needless to say, he is hard to find the right gift.

I know it is before Thanksgiving but I have been enjoying listening to Christmas music.... there is something inspirational about them and they make me smile.

So have all my crafting friends been busy making Christmas cards... if so, I would love to see them... need some inspiration. Just leave a comment and I will check them out.

Well it is time to head to bed, a big day tomorrow.

Hugs
